On her Instagram Story, Jaliyah responded after FunnyMike denied claims that he reportedly has two children on the way. She also referenced his social media response with a joke she said sparked reactions across platforms—sharing an AI-generated post in the mix.

In her longer message, Jaliyah said she wasn’t walking away out of anger. She framed her move around what she called her responsibility to her children, writing that she’s the parent left dealing with “the hard questions” after what she said her kids witnessed.

“While people on here are laughing at his narcissistic behavior and turning a serious situation into a joke. I’m the parent left picking up the pieces and answering the hard questions from my children. ” she wrote. “What happened isn’t funny when kids are involved. My children didn’t deserve to witness the things they witnessed. and they definitely don’t deserve to carry the confusion. fear. and hurt that comes after.

“My focus is. and always will be. protecting my kids. loving them through this. and showing them that unhealthy behavior should never be normalized. And yes, because of that, after 8½ years, I am finally leaving. Not out of anger. but out of love for my children and the example I want to set for them moving forward.

“I have a responsibility to protect their hearts, their peace, and the way they learn what love is supposed to look like. If leaving means giving them a safer, healthier, and happier future, then that’s a choice I’ll make every single time. My children deserve peace and I so do I!”

Her message landed while the wider debate was still swirling—especially after FunnyMike posted what appeared to be his own response.

In an Instagram Story video, FunnyMike said: “Y’all can paint me however y’all want to paint me. I told y’all I’m going to take every lick. Aye! Some people ain’t no saints though, dawg. Y’all always seen my vlogs, but y’all don’t know the half. Imma leave it at that.”

From there, social media moved fast, with many people arguing over whose version of events they believed—and what should happen next.
