In the viral clip, after Bradley described his now wife Natasha Bure, Jake said he would describe Mika Abdalla as “some b-tch,” a line that shocked reactions from the other couple in the conversation.
The resurfacing comes in the wake of major personal news: the 29-year-old actor and his fiancée, Off Campus co-star Mika Abdalla, recently split up. After confirmation of their breakup began circulating, the earlier podcast moment returned to social media attention.
On Friday (June 5), Jake addressed the clip directly through his Instagram story, offering an accountability statement that focused on the impact of the joke.
“I made a disrespectful, juvenile joke in a clip that recirculated this week. It’s imperative to me that I take accountability as I am aware that it was inappropriate. It’s not representative of who I am or who I was in my relationship. but I continue to learn from this situation and work to show people the respect they deserve.”.
Jake and Mika also released a joint statement responding to the uproar around the clip. In their message. they pointed to “people making harmful and inaccurate assumptions about our dynamic.” They said they were in a “loving. respectful relationship for five years. ” adding. “it’s hurtful to see playful moments dissected in a way that does not reflect the respect and love we had and still have for each other.”.
