Jaden Smith Praised For Wearing A ‘Normal’ Outfit At ‘Spider-Man’ Premiere With His Half-Brother

Jaden Smith and his older half-brother, Trey Smith, made a rare public appearance together at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on July 27. While the brothers posed together on the blue carpet, fans were especially surprised by Jaden’s polished new look.

Known for his bold and often unconventional fashion choices, the Karate Kid actor opted for a much more classic outfit this time around. He embraced the trending double-denim look, wearing a blue denim jacket with matching jeans, layered over a crisp white dress shirt and black tie. He completed the ensemble with black leather shoes and tucked a pair of sunglasses into his front pocket for a subtle finishing touch.

Jaden & Trey Smith Make Joint Appearance At Spider-Man: Brand New Day Premiere

The stylish appearance quickly sparked praise online, with many fans noting that it was a refreshing departure from some of his more experimental looks.

“Finally Jaden looks good and fresh,” one person wrote.

Another commented, “Really nice, normal outfits this time! Glad he’s not wearing a house on his head anymore!!”

“Finally Jaden is looking normal again,” another fan added.

Others focused on the brothers themselves, with one writing, “Beautiful and talented brothers.”

Another observed, “Jaden looks better than I’ve ever seen him look. He seems drama-free. Trey looks so much like Will.”

Additional comments included, “Jaden looks healthier than ever and well dressed,” “Jaden is so handsome,” and “Jaden finally dressed normal!”

Jaden has never been afraid to take risks with his fashion choices, and over the years he’s delivered several unforgettable red carpet looks.

At one event, he baffled onlookers by wearing a massive black castle headpiece, reportedly worth $4,600, paired with a tailored Louis Vuitton tuxedo.

He also made headlines at the 2017 Met Gala, where he carried a handful of his own freshly cut dreadlocks as an unconventional accessory after cutting off his signature hairstyle for a film role.

Years earlier, Jaden attended Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s 2014 wedding wearing an all-white, armor-inspired Batman suit, explaining at the time that the superhero costume helped him feel protected during the high-profile event.

The positive reaction comes after Jaden has spent the past year making headlines for his work as men’s creative director at Christian Louboutin, a role he took on in September 2025.

His recent footwear designs—including claw-inspired shoes and loafers featuring a decorative snail and lettuce embellishment—sparked widespread debate online, with some critics accusing the star of benefiting from nepotism, while others praised his willingness to push creative boundaries.

Jaden Smith Opens Up About First Collection For Louboutin

Most recently, Smith spoke with Complex about his latest collection, sharing insights into his creative process—and receiving support from his mother along the way. During an invite-only event at the Christian Louboutin Rodeo Drive boutique in Beverly Hills, where pieces from his collection were on display, Jada praised her son’s dedication to fashion.

“He really does think out of the box when it comes to fashion,” she told Complex. “Fashion is something that he’s really passionate about. He’s been studying it for a while. It’s one thing to have an eye and good taste, but it’s another thing when you really take fashion and the history of fashion as seriously as he does.”

As for the rapper, he admitted he’s still processing the reality of the opportunity.

“It still blows my mind,” he said. “I’ve been doing it for a year, and this is the first time that the world really gets to see what’s going on.”

Reflecting on the launch event, he added: “I’m here in Los Angeles, we’re upstairs in the men’s section of the Rodeo store, Christian Louboutin, with my family and community and people that I know who are going to be able to see this for the first time, and some fans as well. It’s really, really crazy to me, and it’s really exciting.”

With his first major collection now unveiled and receiving positive feedback from fans, the 28-year-old seems determined to prove that his place in the fashion world is about more than just his last name.
