It Sounds Like Jamie Foxx Is Welcoming First Baby Boy with Alyce Huckstepp! (Exclusive)

Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx chatted with “Extra” about “Beat Shazam” Season 8 and celebrating the show’s 100th episode. They also talked about the baby Jamie has on the way!

The Oscar winner is expecting his third child, his first with longtime girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp.

Corinne said, “I’m going to be a sibling times three now. Times three! Very excited. I’m very excited for him. He’s the best dad in the world. He is going to thrive and excel… It’s going to be amazing.

Jamie, an avid racquet sport player, seemingly confirmed he’s having a boy, saying, “He’s gonna play some tennis for sure.”

In other happy news, Corinne dished on celebrating “Beat Shazam’s” milestone 100th episode, saying, “We did on set. They brought out a big cake. It said ‘100’ on it. We went out to dinner. We cheers-ed our executive producer Jeff Appla, who is the best, who’s put this all together, and so, yeah, we’ve celebrated.”

Jamie told us that it “feels fantastic” knowing the show had given away more than $10 million!

Foxx shared, “When you watch, you see everyday people who happen to know music, and they leave with life-changing money. Some of the game shows that you see, that give away [$5,000], $10,000.”

He went on, “We give up to a million dollars and everything up before that… [It’s] sometimes been [$300,000], $400,000, [$500,000]. It’s really incredible to see people not only win the money but what they want to do with the money. ‘I’m playing for my mom who needs this. I’m playing for my dad who needs this,’ or, ‘Playing for my kids to go to college.’ So, that’s why the show hits as hard as it does, because all of our contestants, who we say thank you to, are always looking out for everybody else.”

So, who’s the bigger softie who gets emotional over the winners? Jamie said, “Oh, man, I cry.”

Corinne added, “He’s a big softie. He’s a big softie.”

Smiling, Jamie added, “I cry when I hear the song ‘Another One Bites the Dust.’”

Corinne also talked about Jamie’s passion for music, telling us, “He’s always playing the piano, always singing. He whistles a lot. And so that’s where I would know where he is in the house, because I’d hear him whistling somewhere. Now my sister does it… It was such a blessing for me to be able to just, like, be in his presence and watch his process and hear him sing all the time.”

She continued, “And so it’s cool on the show. He has an opportunity. There’s a piano there. I don’t know if they put it on the show, but when we’re taping, he’s playing the piano and he’s singing and doing what he does best.”

Jamie dished on his karaoke go-to, revealing, “Oh, you know what my song is? It’s ‘YMCA,’ but it’s become old now. We used to bring the house down doing ‘YMCA’… Them young people be like, ‘What the hell is this?’ But ‘YMCA’ used to be the thing.”

Corinne said, “I like to hear my dad sing Christmas songs. You sing a great Christmas song.”

Jamie also gushed over his late sister DeOndra Dixon, who passed away in 2020, and talked about the DeOndra Dixon NIH INCLUDE Project Act.

According to the Global Down Syndrome Foundation it’s “the first-ever NIH-wide initiative dedicated to advancing research to improve the health and quality of life of people with Down syndrome while accelerating scientific discoveries that benefit all Americans.”

Regarding legislation recently passed by the House and the Senate, Jamie said, “My sister was the ambassador for Global Down Syndrome. So, we went on Capitol Hill to get a bill passed and it passed… The reason that’s important is because nothing gets done in the world without money. So, before my sister became the ambassador of Global Down Syndrome, they would spend less than $10 million for knowledge of what Down syndrome was about. Once she took over, it is going up and up and up, close to almost $200 million now.”

Foxx continued, “That bill is going to be very important because it puts Down syndrome on the board to where, you know, when everything is being allocated, you know, they’ll be in first position. And she went on the Hill, and she spoke and thank you to all of those people across political lines. They all said, ‘Yes, this is important.’ So, God bless you, DeOndra. You did it.”

Saying what it would mean to her, Jamie said, “Oh, man. It means everything. It’s meaning something to her right now. And for a lot of people that I run into that have seen my sister and what she’s done, people come up to me all the time and say, ‘Hey, you got a family now.’ And so with this bill, it means a lot.”
