Inside Mark Zuckerberg’s real estate portfolio, from a Hawaiian doomsday bunker to an Irish castle
Mark Zuckerberg has amassed a real estate portfolio that has easily exceeded $100 million, but, until recently, he kept it within the confines of the US.
A spokesperson for Zuckerberg confirmed to Business Insider that he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, purchased a 200-year-old castle in Waterford County, Ireland.
“Mark and his family are excited to continue caring for this historic home and look forward to spending time in Ireland, where Meta maintains its international headquarters,” Zuckerberg’s spokesperson, Brian Baker, said in an email statement to Business Insider.
The purchase price is unknown; however, The Irish Times, which first reported on the sale, estimates Zuckerberg paid between 20 and 30 million euros — or between $23 million and $35 million. A drop in the bucket for the Meta CEO, who has an estimated net worth of $192.4 billion, according to Forbes.
The castle is just the latest addition to Zuckerberg’s portfolio, which includes a doomsday bunker in Hawaii and a waterfront mansion in Miami.
