For weeks, Victoria Lee Robinson was dealing with a family tragedy that stopped everything else cold. Then the fire pit fight happened—chaotic, public, and tied up with court dates—while her grandfather was dying in hospice.
Victoria’s family says her grandfather, the father of Victoria’s dad Will Robinson, was in hospice with tongue cancer during the chaotic weeks leading up to the June 3 altercation at a Los Angeles rental home she shared with Tom Sandoval.
People close to Victoria say her focus wasn’t on the relationship fallout with Sandoval in those final days. Instead, they describe her attention as fixed on her grandfather’s declining health—watching him fade as the tension with Tom escalated around her.
Those same Victoria sources say Sandoval watched her grieve and offered little beyond a condolences text after her grandfather died. They also claim Sandoval left her feeling abandoned. Victoria’s sources add that she rented the home after Tom told her he wanted a future together and allowed her dad to stay there while he handled the family crisis.
The timeline gets sharper in their account: Victoria’s sources say Tom went to Las Vegas while Victoria was dealing with her grandfather’s final days, choosing to honor other commitments instead of being by her side.
Tom’s camp rejects that portrayal.
Sources close to Tom dispute that Victoria was abandoned, calling the claim false. In Tom’s version, he was supportive throughout her grandfather’s illness and arranged and paid for a trip so Victoria and Will could visit before he died.
But the dispute over the trip isn’t just about whether it happened—it’s about why and who paid.
Tom’s sources claim he covered the entire cost because Victoria couldn’t afford the trip. and he wanted to ensure she and her dad had a chance to say goodbye. Victoria’s sources counter that Tom paid for the trip because he had previously owed Victoria money. and they say Victoria arranged the entire trip.
The disagreement extends beyond the hospice period and into what Tom was doing when Victoria’s family says he wasn’t there.
Tom’s sources also dispute the suggestion that he went to Las Vegas to party. They say he was honoring prior work commitments and traveling to support the family of a close friend on the anniversary of that friend’s death. Victoria. in this telling. later described those obligations to friends and on social media as Tom abandoning her to go party.
Tom’s camp also says the living arrangement picture changed before the end of the grandfather’s life. They claim Tom and Victoria were already living separately by the time her grandfather died.
The hospice fight over timing and support now sits alongside the court case that followed the June 3 incident.
As previously reported, a judge granted Tom Sandoval a temporary restraining order against Victoria and Will. Video obtained by TMZ shows Will shoving Tom before Tom shoves him back, which results in Will losing his balance and falling into a lit fire pit.
