The trailer features Barack Obama warning. “Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.” Obama and his wife Michelle are executive producers of David’s new sketch comedy show. built around the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. It skews major events in American history, with guest stars including Bill Hader, Kathryn Hahn, Jon Hamm and Sean Hayes.

Then there’s a different kind of pop—stupidly delightful, if you like your comedy with a countdown. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe premieres July 24, 2026. The series expands the Big Bang Theory universe after Young Sheldon. and it follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom as he accidentally brings about the end of the universe. Bloom has to juggle a bewildering, multi-layered armageddon, relying on all his comic book knowledge to save the planet. Expect unexpected twists and plenty of insider callbacks for TBBT fans.

Superhero fans have their own radar set: Lanterns comes August 17, 2026. Based on DC Comics Green Lantern characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart. the new mystery-drama stars Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre as the Lanterns—two intergalactic police officers. One is experienced. the other is a new recruit. and they’re pulled into solving an Earth-based murder deep in rural America.

If you want something that feels like a slow-burn feast, The Gilded Age is a key stop. Created by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey). the show is set in America in the late 19th century and centres on societal tensions between families with new and old money in a rapidly changing New York. Its costume work is described as fabulous, the emotions restrained, and the quips razor sharp. Season four drops later in 2026, with time to catch up on the first three seasons.

And for viewers who like their drama with a bit of bite. Sharon Horgan is returning with Youth. a comedy-drama she writes. stars in and executive produces.
