Gypsy Rose Debuts Bikini Pic After Rejecting GLP-1

Gypsy Rose Blanchard shared a new bikini photo shoot from Santa Monica on May 30, pairing it with renewed clarity about her weight loss—insisting it wasn’t driven by GLP-1 medication. The 34-year-old also discussed how her lifestyle shifted after prison releas
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is ready for summer, and she’s not staying quiet about how she got there.
On Saturday. May 30. the 34-year-old “The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup” star posted a bikini photo shoot from Santa Monica. California. In the Instagram carousel, she wore a pink bikini top and jean shorts during a beach outing. In another slide, she watched as waves rolled in along the California shoreline.
Her post comes after she’s been open about changes to her body since her release from prison in December 2023. Gypsy served just over eight years of a 10-year sentence for her involvement in the 2015 murder of her mother. Dee Dee Blanchard. and completed parole in June 2025. After welcoming her daughter Aurora with boyfriend Ken Urker in December 2024. she told viewers on her reality series that she’d lost around 25lbs.
But when it came to the reason behind the weight loss. Gypsy has pushed back on the idea that medication did the heavy lifting. On the Lifetime show. she explained that her weight-loss journey began once she got out—after switching from prison food to eating healthier. She said she started eating twice a day and smaller portions.
More recently, she went further, confirming she never planned to lose weight and that she hadn’t used GLP-1 medications. In an Instagram caption dated March 4, she wrote, “OK, y’all, I’m not gatekeeping. My weight loss came from life circumstances.” She added that after being released two years ago. her lifestyle changed a lot—from commissary junk food to home-cooked meals and trying new foods.
Gypsy previously also shared a now-deleted post that showed her stepping onto a scale reading 108.2lbs and later showcased her flat stomach in a blue crop top. She added. “I don’t follow a workout routine (though I’d love one). I don’t limit my diet and I don’t use GLP-1. ” saying she “wasn’t actively trying to lose weight” and that her “whole life just changed and adjusted to freedom.”.
Her latest insistence on what didn’t happen—no GLP-1—lands amid her growing presence in public conversation beyond her own transformation. Earlier this week. she weighed in on a social media debate tied to Netflix’s true crime documentary “The Crash. ” which explores whether Ohio teen Mackenzie Shirilla deliberately killed her boyfriend. Dominic Russo. and their friend Davion Flanagan by crashing her car into a brick wall in 2022.
Shirilla, now 21, has always denied intentionally crashing, with her lawyers blaming the incident on a blackout caused by postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). The Mayo Clinic describes POTS as a nervous system disorder that can cause dizziness, fainting, and extensive fatigue.
During a 2023 bench trial, Shirilla was convicted of 12 felony charges—including murder—and ordered to serve two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life imprisonment. She is serving that sentence at the Ohio Reformatory for Women prison in Marysville, Ohio.
On the Thursday. May 28. “TMZ Podcast” episode. Gypsy predicted Shirilla would not get “early parole” because she has not shown sufficient remorse. She argued that “Most importantly, [you have to show] remorse,” adding that family input matters too. “And family. So, if the victim’s family writes against her parole, she will automatically be denied. I’ve seen it happen time and time again with different women [who were] in my prison. They prioritize the victim’s family above everything.”.
Shirilla is scheduled to be eligible for parole in October 2037.
For Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the beach-ready moment in Santa Monica pairs with a very pointed message: her body changed after prison, and she says it was driven by life circumstances—not GLP-1.

Wait so she’s saying no GLP-1 but she’s still losing weight? lol
I don’t even get why people care what she took or didn’t take. Prison vs normal life changes everything. Also the bikini pic is just her posting… people need to chill.
This is where I get confused… didn’t they say GLP-1 is basically like insulin or whatever? So if she didn’t take it then how’d she do the weight loss in like no time. Maybe she’s lying or maybe the show edited it wrong.
Good for her for getting out and being healthier but the comments acting like it’s all medicine are weird. Like she said it was commissary to home cooked meals… but also she’s still on reality TV so it’s not like it’s totally private. Also Santa Monica is expensive, hope she’s actually eating regularly.
