Gracie Abrams Reveals What She Learned From Touring With Taylor Swift: ‘It Was the Masterclass’
Gracie Abrams is opening up about her time as an opening act on The Eras Tour!
The 26-year-old “Look at My Life” singer toured with Taylor Swift off and on from 2023 to 2024, with her longest stretch being on the final leg of the record-breaking tour.
While appearing on Therapuss with Jake Shane, Gracie talked about touring with Taylor and what she learned from that experience.
“It’s so easy to talk about because it was the masterclass, you know what I mean?” she said. “What did I learn? Obviously, the biggest tour in the history of tours in the history of the human race. And so, you get to watch this titan of the industry, top-down, make the experience for every single person who ever attended, but every single person who works to make it happen, the best version of the experience that it could be.”
“The number of people working on that tour. It’s like the equivalent of a city — and what’s amazing about touring is not one single person is on tour if they don’t have to be there,” Gracie continued. “Everyone’s job is essential and when you see everyone’s generosity of spirit be the way it is. Everyone’s smiling all the time. It felt like the equivalent of, there’s something very summer camp vibes about it.”
She then shared what she learned from being on that tour.
“I learned on a personal level that the show always goes on no matter what. You would never know if she was sick. You would never know if her heart was aching, for she’s just giving it everything and doing it with grace and warmth, and she’s just this fiercely brilliant singular, kind of alien,” Gracie shared. “But she’s a person. You’re like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ And, and it’s pretty amazing. And then I will say, also, I learned what it felt like to be in a stadium where capacity for feeling is at an all-time high. And what that does to the air in a room when everyone’s guard is down, expressive, at that scale, when there’s 90,000 people.”

Speaking of her album, Gracie‘s producer recently addressed speculation that the song “Death Wish” is about Taylor Swift.
