Mark Stone signed a two-year, $18 million contract extension with the Golden Knights, the team announced Saturday.
The deal begins next season and runs through the 2028-29 campaign.
The 34-year-old matched a career-high 28 goals last season, while earning a career-best 73 points in 60 games, adding 12 points in 17 playoff games as the Golden Knights made a run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Stone won a championship with the Golden Knights in 2023.
He was drafted in 2010 to the Ottawa Senators, where he played his first seven seasons. The Winnipeg native was traded to the Golden Knights in 2019, later signing an eight-year extension to stay in Vegas.
In 2020, Stone was named the first official Golden Knights captain. After a 2021-22 season plagued by injuries, Stone made his mark on the franchise in 2023, scoring 17 goals and 21 assists in 43 regular-season games.
Stone added an additional 11 goals and 13 assists in the Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup run. In the Cup-clinching fifth game, he scored a hat trick, becoming only the third NHL player to do so.
