Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski speaks to media about summer trade talks and his return to the team.
The Vegas Golden Knights signed captain Mark Stone to a two-year, $18 million contract extension on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The deal with the 34-year-old forward and 2023 Stanley Cup winner runs through the 2028-29 season.
Stone matched his career high with 73 points (28 goals, 45 assists) in 60 games last season.
He has 396 points (136 goals, 260 assists) in 400 games since joining Vegas in a Feb. 25, 2019 trade with the Ottawa Senators.
Stone has 707 career points (259 goals, 448 assists) in 766 games with the Senators and Golden Knights.
He has also posted 97 points (48 goals, 49 assists) in 129 postseason games, including 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) during the Golden Knights’ march to the 2023 Stanley Cup title.
He scored a hat trick in the clinching game against the Florida Panthers.
The Senators selected the Winnipeg native in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
