Girl Scouts reveals 2 new online-exclusive cookies for pups and people with food allergies

Girl Scouts of the USA and North Carolina Coastal Pines unveiled two special new cookie varieties that will release in the 2027 season as online-exclusives for people with pups and food allergies.

The two new cookie varieties are the first of their kind for the Girl Scout Cookie lineup.

The first is a cookie made specially for dogs called Patch Pals. The soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored cookies were developed with  BARK, a company that sells dog toys and treats. Girl Scouts said each cookie features one of four patch designs, including a compass, a heart, the Girl Scouts trefoil and a tennis ball.

The second is a cookie made specially for people with common food allergies called Sparkables. The oatmeal cookie was developed with a snack company called Partake and has chocolate chips and sprinkles, avoiding nine of the most common food allergens.

“Inspired by Girl Scouts around the country who have advocated for expanding the cookie lineup to meet the diverse needs of their communities, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables offer new ways for more girls, families, and beloved pets to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program while staying true to what makes the tradition special,” Girl Scouts said.

The 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season runs from Jan. 16 through March 14. People will be able to order the two new cookies starting Jan. 12 exclusively online.
