Geekom A9 Max mini PC drops $350 to $1,349

The Geekom A9 Max mini PC is available for $1,349, a $350 discount from its $1,699 regular price. Tested by the reviewer in September 2025, the compact system is built for local AI work with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor offering 80 TOPS, plus 32GB of DDR
A tiny desktop box can still feel like a big deal—especially when it’s marked down by $350.
The Geekom A9 Max mini PC is on sale now for $1,349, down from its regular price of $1,699. The pitch is simple: build your workstation around a single compact computer, then skip the peripheral side of things—no displays, accessories, or audio—to aim for more performance per dollar.
The device has already been tested. In September 2025, the reviewer found its under-the-hood performance to be surprisingly strong, including solid handling of a local large language model (LLM) installed on the system.
At the center of that setup is an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor rated for 80 TOPS of AI performance. Geekom positions the A9 Max as a “flagship AI workstation. ” designed to run from large enterprise models all the way to workloads like 8K video editing and 3D rendering. For memory, the mini PC comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, with support to expand up to 128GB.
Storage is handled through dual PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs, with up to 8TB of expandable storage. On the desk, the impact is mostly about footprint: the mini PC takes up almost no space, changing what a desktop workstation typically looks and feels like.
The A9 Max also brings a broad set of connections. There are two HDMI ports, four USB-A ports on the front, and two Ethernet ports. USB-C ports are placed on the back.
Still, there’s one caveat buyers should weigh before assuming it matches every other high-end option. The Geekom A9 Max includes an integrated GPU, which might leave it short in comparisons with other high-end models.
For creators, designers, or AI users, the argument is that the system remains “heavily armed for the price,” even with that limitation.
The discount isn’t perfect, either. The deal is rated 3/5 for the significant discount, but the reviewer notes it’s not quite at 25% off.
The timing matters too: Amazon’s Prime Day event runs Tuesday, June 23 to Friday, June 26, 2026, shifted earlier from its usual July timeframe. As always with deals, availability can change quickly—items can sell out or expire at any time.
