Community rallies after teenage Josh Morrow’s fatal crash
A fundraising drive has been launched for the family of a popular Glenfin teenager who lost life in a road incident last month. Talented rugby player, Josh Morrow (16), passed away following a collision near his home above Brockagh on Saturday, April 25. Late of Stranabrattoge, Cloghan, he is survived by his heartbroken parents, Elma and Jerry, sister Sarah, brothers Matthew, Shane (Michelle), Jason (Shannon), niece Sofia, Granny and Grandad, Dolores and Jim Thompson. This week local Councillor, Martin Scanlon, urged people to support the
Morrow family at this time by donating to the GoFundMe page set up by him. Just over €6,000 of the €10,000 target has been raised, but you can still contribute here: https://gofund.me/58c6974b3 “Our hearts are broken as we come together to support the Morrow family after the tragic loss of their beloved Josh, who was taken far too soon in a traffic accident recently,” Cllr Scanlon said. He went on to describe Josh as a ‘bright, kind, and unforgettable young man’ whose smile, energy, and
spirit made an impact on everyone around him. “No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child. As the Morrow family faces this unimaginable heartbreak, we are asking our community to come together to help support them during this difficult time,” Cllr Scanlon stressed. “The funds raised will help cover expenses, counselling and emotional support, and allow the family the time and space they need to grieve without the added burden of financial stress. “In moments like this, we are reminded
how important community truly is. Every donation, share, prayer, and message of support is a reminder to the family that they are surrounded by love and that Josh will never be forgotten. “Thank you for helping us honor Josh’s life and stand beside his family through this devastating loss.”
