Art All Night
Art All Night returns Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12, with free arts programming across all eight D.C. wards. The two-night celebration features local artists, live music, performances and cultural experiences at venues throughout the city.
Western Market free doughnuts and giveaways
Head to Western Market on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for free entry, free doughnuts and other summer sweets. There will also be movie ticket giveaways, chances to win concert tickets and other giveaways throughout the weekend.
Qing Bao’s birthday celebration
Celebrate giant panda Qing Bao’s fifth birthday at the National Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 12 starting at 9 a.m. The panda will get a special fruit-based ice cake, and admission to the zoo is free for everyone. Donations are welcome.
Free Kronos Quartet concert
The Kronos Quartet performs a free concert Saturday, Sept. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the National Museum of American History. The concert is part of the Smithsonian’s 25th anniversary commemoration of 9/11. Admission is free, but tickets are required and seating is limited.
Afro-Brazilian Beats
Head to the Go-Go Museum & Cafe on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. for free drumming workshops with Batalá and a live capoeira demonstration.
Stonebridge Fall Fest & Chili Cook-Off
Head to Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge on Saturday, Sept. 12 starting at 11 a.m. for free admission, local vendors and family activities. There will also be a chili cook-off.
St. Mark Egyptian Festival
Stop by the festival in Fairfax on Saturday or Sunday, Sept. 12—13, for free admission, church tours and Egyptian crafts. Authentic Egyptian food will also be available for purchase.
Adams Morgan Day
Adams Morgan Day returns Sunday, Sept. 13, with a free, family-friendly neighborhood festival featuring music, art, vendors and food. The festival is expected to run from about noon to 7 p.m.
Dine All Night
Looking for a dining deal? Dine All Night runs through Sunday, Sept. 13, with participating restaurants across the District offering special happy hours, dinner menus and dessert deals.
Maryland Seafood Festival … kids get in free
The Maryland Seafood Festival runs Friday through Sunday, Sept. 11—13, at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis. Adults need tickets, but children 12 and under get in free. The festival features seafood vendors, live music, shopping, contests and kids’ activities.
Columbia Heights Eats Week
Columbia Heights Eats Week runs through Sunday, Sept. 13, with participating restaurants offering specials and discounts. Deals include discounted meals, drinks and other food specials at restaurants throughout the neighborhood.
D.C. Restaurant Week Deals
Some D.C.-area restaurants are extending their Restaurant Week specials, with more than 200 restaurants offering prix-fixe lunch, brunch and dinner deals. Participating restaurants and menus vary.
Wendy’s $1.99 Nuggets Deal
Wendy’s Rewards members can get a 10-piece order of crispy or spicy nuggets for $1.99 with any purchase. The offer runs through Sept. 27 at participating locations.
