FreshBooks, Ownr, partnership, Canadian entrepreneurs, small business, Royal Bank of Canada, RBC
So basically RBC is doing ads for bookkeeping now?
I don’t really get why this matters to regular people. FreshBooks and Ownr have been around forever, feels like just a marketing partnership with the bank. Like are they lowering rates or what?
Wait, Ownr is the one that does mortgages right? So is RBC teaming up to get Canadians to buy houses or something? The article is kinda word salad, but it sounds like “purpose-driven” means they’ll charge less? not sure.
Love when banks “support Canadian entrepreneurs” but it always ends up being behind a paywall or in fine print. I’m sure small businesses benefit, but then RBC gets to track what you do with your invoices or payments. Also why mention US 19 million clients like that’s not just Canada stuff? confusing.
