The couple’s timeline stretches back further than the marriage itself. Frankie Muniz and Paige started dating in 2016, got engaged in 2018, wed in 2019, and welcomed their son two years later.

Earlier this year, Muniz had spoken about the strain of balancing his work with family life. In an interview with Us Weekly, he said it was “very hard” to juggle his schedule, adding, “Honestly, my wife is a saint.” He described Paige as someone “sacrificing so much for me to live my dream.”

He also addressed what it means to be away from home—nearly 300 days a year—due to his racing and acting career. “It’s hard to uproot them and take them all over the place,” he said. “I want my son to have a routine and his school and his friends and go to church. I’m not going to lie, it’s been very, very, very tough.”.

Muniz acknowledged that his schedule often left Paige handling things like a “single mother,” and he said he knew he needed to do better. “I’m going to say this right now, I have to be better than I currently am,” he said. “I know that 100 percent [my family] deserves it.”

Now, with his July 1 announcement, Muniz is placing their future together in a new framework—friendship and co-parenting—while asking the public to respect the privacy of Paige, their son, and their family as they close this chapter.
