For the first time in a World Cup, 48 teams will take the field—and Fox Sports is already preparing for the noise that comes with that kind of scale.
On April 29, Fox announced its full commentary lineup of match commentators, hosts, and rules analysts for the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The expanded tournament means 104 matches, a record for the competition.
Fox says the matchup coverage will be built around a “dream roster” of voices. Brad Zager. Fox Sports president and executive producer. framed the decision around the tournament’s growth: “The expansion of the tournament allowed us to go out and really build a dream roster of who we envisioned bringing Fox Sports’ FIFA World Cup 2026 to life.”.
The centerpiece on the English side will be familiar to longtime viewers. John Strong and Stu Holden will once again lead the nine English commentary duos.

Rules coverage will be delivered by two analysts: Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg.
