Former Eagles teammates’ A.J. Brown-Jalen Hurts relationship sounds a lot like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown

Former Philadelphia Eagles teammates Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown haven’t been in contact since the latter was traded.
The Philadelphia Eagles took part in a joint practice on Wednesday against the New England Patriots as both teams prepare for the upcoming season. The practice pitted Jalen Hurts and the Eagles against AJ Brown, their former teammate who was traded to New England this offseason in a blockbuster deal.
Now, Brown has kept it real on where his relationship with Hurts stands now that they are no longer teammates.
“AJ Brown says he has not spoken to Jalen Hurts since being traded. When asked if he will talk to him during these two days he says if their paths cross, (he) said multiple times it’s all love between him and his former team,” reported Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com on X, formerly Twitter.
The relationship sounds a bit like the frosty dynamic between Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum after the Boston Celtics traded Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers, with Brown then confirming that he hadn’t spoken to Tatum since the deal went through, and with some fans criticizing Tatum for taking multiple days to acknowledge the move on social media.
Brown publicly criticized the Eagles on multiple occasions for not getting him the ball as much as he felt they should, including reading a novel on the sidelines at one point, in addition to blasting the team on social media.
This led to what seemed to be an inevitable parting of ways this offseason, with Brown now taking over as the Patriots’ number one wide receiver now that Stefon Diggs is no longer in the mix.
Unfortunately, the Patriots and Eagles will not face each other during the upcoming regular season, although they will play a preseason game this weekend.
