Former Duke star Kyle Singler accuses Coach K of mistreatment in concerning social media posts
Former Duke champion Kyle Singler has recently made serious accusations against Coack K through his recent social media posts.
Former Duke basketball star Kyle Singler has recently taken social media by storm with a series of videos he has been posting on his Instagram account. In one of his videos, the former Detroit Pistons small forward made serious accusations against his former coach, Mike Krzyzewski.
In his recent posts, Singler accused Coach K of mistreating him and “setting him up.”
“I need this message to go out (to) as many people as possible,” Singler said. “Man, Coach K has set me up. I have no power, and I have no house. I’ve reached out to coach, and everyone has turned the other way. I’ve reached out to coach, and he has fully dismissed my message.”

Additionally, in his lengthy social media video, the former Duke star also detailed the struggles he has been going through in his daily life. He also accused people of breaking into his house and stealing some money.
“You guys are cutting my power off, breaking into my house, stealing money, ruining my life. Reached out to Coach K, and all he did was sit me on the bench. Thanks, man, so this is what we’re doing at school- send people down, teaching them up.”
“Well, I have more to say, and I (just) need this message to go out. Coach, where you at? Help ‘em brother out. Thought we were on the same team, man,” he later said in his plea for help.
Singler played four seasons under Coach K from 2007 to 2011, where he helped the team win the 2010 NCAA championship. He also won the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award.
After his phenomenal years coming out of Duke. He was drafted 33rd overall by the Pistons in the 2011 NBA Draft.
However, this was not the first time Singler shared concerning videos through his social media account. Back in 2024, he also shared a series of posts detailing about fearing for his life.
“I have been mistreated and abused, neglected, made into a mental example. And I fear for my life every day. And people in my community make me look out as if I’m going to be someone that’s going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when I’m only trying to be helpful,” he said via ABC11.
A couple of NBA players, including Kevin Love, Isaiah Thomas, Chandler Parsons, and Andre Drummond, did reach out to him at that time. Love even tweeted about Singler and asked the basketball community to show him love.
