Fired After Calling Cops on Solo Dad Video

Man fired – A Mississippi dad went viral on TikTok after an older man berated him and called police while he took his two daughters into an empty women’s restroom at a QuikTrip. Days later, the man was no longer employed by Overstreet Properties after the company reviewed

A road trip stop turned into a terrifying TikTok moment for Mississippi dad Tyler Brodsky—and the fallout didn’t take long to reach his family.

Brodsky shared a video showing an older man confronting him and calling the police after he walked two daughters into a women’s restroom at a QuikTrip. In Brodsky’s account, the restroom was empty when he stopped there so the girls could use it on the trip from Florida back to Oklahoma.

He explained that he chose the women’s restroom over bringing “two little girls into a men’s bathroom full of grown men and dirty stalls.” Brodsky said the older man barged in, yelled, and scared his daughters, while also insisting the girls “should’ve been in the men’s room instead.”

The reason Brodsky says he was there at all? He described that his wife was helping her ill mother out, making him the parent responsible for the restroom break in that moment. In the video, he frames his decision as coming from a simple goal: being a helpful dad.

The clip spread widely online, and the person seen in the video later faced consequences. Overstreet Properties posted a statement on Friday saying the man was “no longer employed” by the company.

The company said it was aware of “videos circulating on social media” depicting conduct by a former independent contractor during a personal trip “unrelated to our company.” Overstreet Properties added that the conduct shown “does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties or the standards we expect of those who represent our organization. ” and said its focus remains on providing “quality service to our clients. partners. and community.”.

Overstreet Properties concluded: “The individual depicted in the video is no longer associated with Overstreet Properties.”

In a follow-up video, Brodsky updated viewers that his daughters were safe. “UPDATE: My girls are safe, happy, and doing great,” he said, thanking people for their support.

Between the initial confrontation and the company’s response, the story played out in public—one father trying to keep his daughters safe, and another man’s decision to escalate drawing swift scrutiny online.

  1. I mean if it was empty then why is everyone acting like it’s some crime. Also why would the older guy even call the cops??

  2. I’m confused, so the dad got fired? or the other guy got fired? Sounds like both were in trouble somehow and social media always ruins everything. Like I just saw a clip where the “solo dad” was yelling too so idk.

  3. This is why I hate QuikTrip parking lots, you never know who’s filming. The older guy sounds like he was looking for drama, but calling police over a restroom break is insane. I feel bad for the kids more than anything, like they’re the ones stuck in the middle of grown man ego.
