Diane Farr is saying farewell to Los Angeles after 30 years.
The “Fire Country” star posted a video on Instagram to mark her last day in the city, accompanied by a caption about her time there.
“Last Day in LA. I’ve lived here 30 years. Exactly 30 years and more importantly- I chose LA.
I wasn’t born here, I didn’t go to school here – I just had a chance for representation as an actor and I moved out of NYC the summer I was 26,” she wrote.
She continued, “I came like most of the people I love in Hollywoodland – none of which I saw this week bc moving sucks. (You’re never getting rid of me in your life. I just had to pack for 4 people – going to 6 different locations – in 3 different trucks all leaving while I’m back at work tomorrow.)”
Farr celebrated that she “came here chasing a dream” and is “still shocked” it worked. She also gushed about raising three kids (from her ex-husband Seung Yong Chung) “in the sun” and the home she created.
“Pinch me I’m overwhelmed by the blessings and hope, really hope I gave enough back. LA will always be where my family is from,” she wrote.
The “Rescue Me” actress hinted that the move wouldn’t be permanent, saying she is on “hiatus” from Los Angeles, though she noted “we are letting the house go.”
She also reassured fans in the comments that she is not leaving “Fire Rescue.”
“And no @firesheriffcbs fans I’m not leaving #firecountry. One of the places I live is to film in #Vancouver for the fifth year. We are on episode 4 of Season 5 right now,” she wrote.
Farr has played Sharon Leone on the CBS drama since 2022.
