Father’s Day tech discounts make dads’ routines easier

Ahead of Father’s Day, Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are discounting practical tech for dads: a Samsung Galaxy Ring that tracks health for up to seven days, an 11-inch iPad Pro with M5, noise-cancelling Beats Studio Pro, the Samsung Galaxy Watch8, AirPods Pro
Father’s Day shopping can be stressful in a way a box of gadgets never will—because the “right” gift is the one that actually slides into a dad’s day without adding friction.
This year. Amazon. Best Buy. and Walmart are leaning hard into that idea with discounts on tech built for everyday use: health tracking that doesn’t demand constant attention. headphones that survive flights and long calls. earbuds that stay put through chores. and smart glasses that let someone capture a moment without digging out a phone.
Pricing and product availability details were accurate at the time of publication.
A low-key health tracker that just works
Samsung’s Galaxy Ring is getting attention for doing the heavy lifting on health tracking while staying out of the way. Instead of wearing yet another screen on the wrist, it moves sleep, heart rate, and workout tracking to a finger. Samsung says the battery lasts up to seven days. and the ring uses a lightweight titanium build with water resistance for workouts and errands.
There’s one important catch: Galaxy Ring only works with Android phones. Samsung also notes that sizing can differ from standard ring sizes, so a sizing kit is recommended first.
Price: $299.99 (was $399.99, save $100)
A tablet deal for dads who run life from one screen
For dads who already rely on one device for work. reading. streaming. and creative projects. the 11-inch Apple iPad Pro with the M5 chip is discounted. The M5 is designed to keep demanding apps running smoothly. while Apple’s Ultra Retina XDR display is positioned for crisp movies. photos. and documents.
Face ID is included for simple unlocking, and the 256GB of storage is meant to hold apps, files, and downloads without feeling cramped.
Price: $937.76 (was $999, save $61.24)
Beats Studio Pro: noise cancelling without the hassle
When the gift is meant for travel and long listening sessions, Beats Studio Pro wireless noise cancelling headphones are built around convenience. Active noise cancellation is paired with Transparency mode, letting outside sound in when it’s needed.
The headphones sit over the ear, offering a fuller feel for music, podcasts, and movies than typical earbuds. Beats says battery life reaches up to 40 hours with noise cancellation off, and the set supports Bluetooth and USB-C across phones, tablets, and laptops.
Price: $159.99 (was $349.99, save $190)
Android dads get a lighter smartwatch option
Samsung Galaxy Watch8 is another Best Buy deal aimed at practical daily use. The watch tracks sleep, workouts, heart rate, and daily activity, then turns it into quick summaries such as an Energy Score.
Samsung describes the design as lighter for day-long comfort through workdays and workouts, and it emphasizes a bright screen that’s easier to read outside.
Price: $289.99 (was $349.99, save $60)
AirPods Pro 3 for dads who already live in earbuds
At Walmart. AirPods Pro 3 are positioned as a useful upgrade for dads with iPhones—especially if earbuds are already part of the routine. Active noise cancellation is designed to reduce background sound during calls. travel. workouts. or chores. while the newer design adds heart rate sensing for extra exercise utility.
Battery life is rated up to eight hours with noise cancellation on, and the secure fit is meant to help keep them in place during walks or gym sessions.

Smart glasses for capturing the moment, not pausing for a phone
Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer smart glasses are discounted at Walmart as a familiar-looking option that adds hands-free features. They include a built-in camera plus audio and calls, along with AI features, all in a frame designed to stay close to everyday sunglasses.
With the camera, dads can capture a hike, family barbecue, or travel moment from their own point of view without reaching for a phone. Open-ear speakers are designed so someone can listen to music or take calls while still hearing what’s happening around them.
Meta AI supports quick answers and real-time translation in supported languages, and the Wayfarer frame keeps the look in the same lane as regular eyewear.
Price: $224 (was $299, save $75)
The through-line across the deals is simple: these discounts aren’t just about getting something new on a shelf—they’re about giving dads tools that fit the pace of real life, whether that’s tracking workouts, blocking noise on a flight, keeping calls clear, or capturing moments while still moving.

So the ring only works with Android? That’s dumb lol.
I saw the Galaxy Ring thing on TikTok and figured it’s basically a smartwatch but “lighter.” $300 seems good but then the Android only part… my brother has iPhone so never mind.
The iPad Pro deal is cool and all but why do they keep discounting the expensive stuff first. My dad would just want headphones that actually work on calls, not some M5 tablet he won’t learn. Also iPad sizing? lol like rings?
Galaxy Ring for Father’s Day is kinda wild because my dad can barely charge his flashlight. Like 7 days battery sounds fake to me. And if sizing is different than normal ring sizes then you’re already doing more work than just getting a tie. Meanwhile these stores are always “discounting” stuff that’s out of stock anyway.
