Family displaced after fire destroys Hyde Park home

The family’s cat is still missing, according to fire officials.
A family of three was displaced following a house fire in Hyde Park Saturday night.
Boston Fire responded to a fire overnight Saturday at 596 Metropolitan Ave. in Hyde Park, the department said on X.
Three adults and a dog made it out unharmed, the department said. The family’s cat is still missing.
The 2.5-story home became engulfed in flames and nearby power lines were arching, meaning sparks were flying through the air, the department said.
Red Cross arrived at the scene to help the family with emergency services, officials said.
