Programming kicks off tonight, Aug. 6, with the Red Bull Spin Off: DC, where a two-person team creates bicycles and attempt to cross the finish line on a floating race track.
Night one events also include T-Rex World Championship racing, the Meadowlands Racetrack Wiener Dog Derby, the Great Bahamian Crab Races and much more.

What is ESPN8: The Ocho?
If you are a fan of the 2004 cult classic, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, then you already know the inspiration behind ESPN’s unusual programming event.
The movie’s fictional, ESPN8 channel broadcasts bizarre sporting events, including the Las Vegas dodgeball tournament.
As a nod to ESPN8, the actual ESPN network aired lesser known, quirky competitions for one day in 2017, a slate of programming that has now turned into an annual, multi-day event.
Two screenings of Dodgeball are even included in The Ocho’s lineup, airing on Friday, Aug. 7 at 9 p.m. ET and Sunday, Aug. 9 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Savannah Bananas’ two-game series against the Loco Beach Coconuts this weekend at Target Field in Minneapolis are also part of The Ocho’s programming lineup.
