Eight months after Charlie Kirk was killed in a fatal shooting at Utah Valley University, his widow, Erika Kirk, woke up to a new kind of grief target: dating rumors.
The speculation flared after an X post from Project Constitution claimed Erika had been seen with Blake Wynn, the nephew of casino billionaire Steve Wynn, at a Beverly Hills hotel. The post said Erika “has a new boyfriend” and claimed she was “spotted getting handsy” with Wynn.
Within hours, Erika publicly shut the rumors down. “Every single word here is a lie,” she wrote on X. “Charlie’s love will last me a lifetime. The Lord is the only one who can ever fill that most painful void.”
She then offered a direct timeline to counter the allegation. Erika said that on May 14—the day she was said to have been seen with Blake—she was at home celebrating the second birthday of her son with Charlie.
Erika and Charlie welcomed their baby boy in May 2024, following the August 2022 birth of their daughter.
Erika’s response didn’t just deny the relationship. She accused Project Constitution of cruelty and manipulation. She blasted the reports as coming from a “deranged obsession” with her and described them as showing a “blatant disregard for any form of truth whatsoever.” She also defended Blake Wynn. saying he is a longtime friend of her late husband.
Erika wrote that Blake (who she said is about to be engaged to his longtime girlfriend) “was a dear friend of my husband’s and I am grateful for his continued support, just like hundreds of others.”
Blake Wynn also stepped in. He posted his own denial on X, writing, “Blake Wynn here…. I hate to be the bearer of bad news to the cesspool of bots and X users that spend their entire day making things up under the guise of journalism, but I am not dating Erika Kirk.”
In that same pushback, Blake mocked Project Constitution’s approach to proof, saying it appeared to rely on a “tag team of Helen Keller and AI-generated audio.”
The romance talk landed in the middle of a period when Erika Kirk has already been under intense online scrutiny after Charlie’s death at 31. Days after he was killed, Erika was unanimously appointed CEO and chair of Turning Point USA, the conservative organization he founded.
Since taking on that larger public role, she has faced an onslaught of online conspiracy theories and attacks from both critics and some former MAGA supporters.
In May, Erika became a focal point again after she posted an emotional anniversary tribute to Charlie. The video. shared to mark what would have been the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary. quickly drew both sympathy and backlash. with critics accusing her of turning private grief into public performance.
“Even though our kids won’t see our love ‘grow old together’ from an earthly stand point; they’ll see it from a Heavenly one. And I’ll tell them of our love story any moment I can. Happy Anniversary to the love of my life,” Erika wrote on X on May 8, 2026.
Now the newest flashpoint is the same issue, played out again in a different form: whether what’s being circulated about her is truth or something designed to provoke and pull her into another viral fight.

I mean if she says every word is a lie then ok? But also social media posts are always half true. Like how do we even know who was at that hotel or if it was even her?
It’s sad either way. The part about May 14 being the kid’s birthday sounds like a solid “prove it” timeline but rumors move faster than facts so of course it’ll stick. Also Blake Wynn sounds like a random name to throw in there… but the Project Constitution post probably had “receipts” right? idk.
This whole thing is giving me “manufactured outrage” vibes. Like Charlie got shot and now everyone’s fighting about who she’s holding hands with? Also didn’t that Steve Wynn guy have casinos—so they’re all connected somehow? I’m not even saying she’s dating him, I’m just saying the internet will always turn grief into drama.
