Emily Mariko is officially welcoming another chapter of family life. The 34-year-old TikTok food influencer shared the news in an Instagram post on Sunday (May 17), writing that she and her husband, Matt Rickard, welcomed their second child—and it’s a boy.
In the post, Emily shared a video of herself holding the newborn in bed. She captioned it “Baby brother Clifford.”
She’s also already a mom to her son Theodore (“Teddy”), whom the couple welcomed in July of 2024. And in a follow-up Instagram post, Emily shared a video titled, “First trip to the farmers market as a family of four,” showing the family’s first outing together.
Emily’s growing family story has played out in public for some time. She went viral on TikTok for her salmon bowl recipe, and she married Matt Rickard in July 2023 after getting engaged in October 2021. She announced on Christmas Eve that she was pregnant with their first child.
When it came time to reveal the sex of their second baby, Emily returned to Instagram last Christmas. She and Matt sat under the Christmas tree with a red box containing the results. “Eeee, boy!” she said, while showing the outcome to Teddy: “Teddy, it’s a boy.” She added, “Wow, I’m a boy mom.”
The timeline of their announcements circles back to the same pattern: engagement in October 2021. marriage in July 2023. pregnancy reveal for their first child on Christmas Eve. Teddy’s arrival in July 2024. and then the second child’s sex revealed last Christmas—followed by the May 17 announcement that it’s another boy.
