Eichel also traces the playlist back to how he learned to listen. He and his father. Bob. bonded over classic rock. and early influences he named include Stone Temple Pilots. Metallica and Pearl Jam. In a post on Amazon Music’s IG page. he described the way artists teach through their work: “I look at the way I look at the artists that I really enjoy. the influence that they have. and the music they produce. I just think they’re telling a story. ” Eichel says. “You can take a lot from that, and I think us, as listeners, do.”.
The NHL has been rolling out its official playoff soundtrack across platforms. A couple of weeks ago. the league announced Jelly Roll’s “Rise Up” as the official theme song of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The song debuted during the Western Conference Final between the Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche. then continued through the Stanley Cup Final.
Not every fan loved the choice. Some hardcore NHL fans have deemed “Rise Up” too typically commercial. Jelly Roll devotees, on the other hand, have appreciated it. The tone stuck because it’s not just catchy—it’s written for the grind.
