Eagles lineman Fred Johnson faces new scrutiny after baby

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Fred Johnson is a father now, but the timing of that news has pulled the spotlight back onto a public, messy fight that began while his former partner was still pregnant.
Online influencer Lyss Okada announced the birth of her child with a Sunday Instagram post. “Akira Jade,” the caption read as Okada shared photos of her holding the baby girl. Hours later, she posted a TikTok video in which she’s seen holding Akira and speaking directly to the camera. “The minute I met my daughter – I can’t even believe I’m even saying the words. ‘my daughter’ – I was so in love with her. and she’s just perfect.”.
The post marked a sharp turn from the TikTok videos Okada shared earlier this spring. In those clips. she seemingly accused Johnson of kicking her out of their home while she was eight months pregnant. and of looking for other relationships online almost immediately afterward. “Hypothetically. if a man were to kick out his eight-month pregnant girlfriend and unborn daughter and be on Hinge the very next day looking for women to have fun with. hypothetically you would not think that man is a good man or good father. ” she said in a lengthy video in early May. “You would not think that man would have any form of decency. integrity or have morals if. hypothetically. those situations were true. those would be some sh***y f***ing people. in my opinion.”.
Johnson responded on Instagram at the time, writing, “smartest flex isn’t revenge,” before following with a more cryptic post: “God ain’t bring me this far just to leave me.” The 28-year-old NFL journeyman added, “This to (sic) shall pass. I love you all.”
Okada has also faced backlash over her former relationship with Johnson. In another TikTok video posted in May, she pushed back at the criticism aimed at her. “I just truly think it’s time people stop blaming women for the partners they choose,” she said. “And start blaming partners for pretending to be something that they are not.” She continued: “What I’ve realized is there are so many people quick to say ‘what did you do’ or ‘you knew what you were getting yourself into.’ That is not true.”.
She added: “No woman ever knowingly goes into a situation thinking this person is going to hurt me, this person is going to lie to me, this person is going to be a completely different person to the one he is showing me.”
The details of their relationship and the accusations Okada made sit alongside Johnson’s football reputation. Johnson is one of the top backups at his position, and he proved crucial for Philadelphia last season when he filled in for All-Pro starters Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
Johnson is listed at 6ft 7in and 326 pounds. A West Palm native, he attended Florida before three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has spent the last three seasons in Philadelphia.
For Okada. the birth announcement has come as a personal milestone—while for Johnson. it arrives amid an online narrative that never fully cooled after those earlier May posts. The gap between what was alleged during the pregnancy and what is being celebrated now is the tension viewers can’t ignore. because both chapters are now out in public.

Wait so they’re saying he kicked her out when she was 8 months pregnant?? that’s wild.
I swear these influencer timelines are always messy like… did the baby being announced automatically prove anything? Like everybody already picked a side.
The “smartest flex isn’t revenge” thing is basically him admitting something though, right? Like why respond at all if nothing happened. also Hinge the next day is like normal for some people?? idk.
Not gonna lie the way they say “scrutiny after baby” sounds like he got caught cheating but then it’s about kicking someone out?? I’m confused. Also these videos are like a whole story and we’re only seeing part of it, like where’s the receipts from his side besides one caption.
