Dungeon Crawler Carl Lands Live-Action Series Order

“Dungeon Crawler Carl” is getting a straight-to-series live-action TV adaptation, with Chris Yost set to write and lead production and author Matt Dinniman joining as co-executive producer.
A straight shot from page to screen is officially locked in: “Dungeon Crawler Carl,” the cult-favorite science fantasy book series by Matt Dinniman, has been given a straight-to-series order for a live-action television adaptation.
The project is being developed at Peacock, and the series will be written for television by Chris Yost, whose credits span film, TV, and comic books. Dinniman is set to serve as a co-executive producer, bringing the creator’s voice into the room from the start.
Yost will executive produce alongside Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald. MacFarlane’s involvement also ties the project to the same creative ecosystem that made him a major force in genre TV through The Orville.
Dinniman confirmed the news on social media with a message that captured the momentum behind the production: “Me, Chris Yost and Seth MacFarlane and his team at Fuzzy Door are all really excited to get to work.”
For fans, the next beat may be just as important as the announcement itself. Dinniman also teased that more details are on the way, including an upcoming “Dungeon Crawler Carl” panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
