Dublin assault victim dies two days later as Garda appeal

A man has died in hospital two days after he was seriously injured in an assault in west Dublin . The victim, who was aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital following the incident at Parslickstown Drive in Mulhuddart at around 3.55am on Friday, July 3. Gardai have this evening confirmed that he has died from his injuries. The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Gardai are continuing to investigate this fatal assault, with with
an incident room set up at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer. A Family Liaison Officer has also been appointed to support the man’s family. Investigators have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward. A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai continue now to investigate a fatal assault that occurred at Parslickstown Drive, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 on Friday, 3rd July 2026 at approximately 3:55am. “An adult male, aged in his 40s, who was conveyed to hospital for treatment of serious
injuries, has since passed away. “The office of the local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course. “This investigation is being coordinated from an incident room at Blanchardstown Garda Station under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer. A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family. “Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information in relation to this incident or who may have video footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of
