Drive Against Depression heads to Brisbane for winter drive

Drive Against Depression (DAD) is heading back to Brisbane for its Winter Drive Day on Sunday, June 21. It’s the third drive event this year for the Australian-registered mental health charity, and its first event in Brisbane since its Summer Drive Day on December 7, 2025. The drive will kick off at the Broncos Leagues Club in Red Hill, with participants heading to Samford Village via twisty Mount Nebo Road and then out to Dayboro, before ending in Banyo at the Brisbane Motor Museum.   1. Free admission and lunch?? That’s actually awesome. But I’m kinda worried it’s still gonna be awkward for folks talking about depression in a car group lol.

  2. Wait I thought Brisbane was in Canada or something, so now it’s in Australia again?? Also Mount Nebo Road sounds scary, like why are we putting mental health with twisty roads. My cousin said these events are basically just for prizes and raffles anyway.

  3. Wish this was here in the US. Like I get the idea of connecting and all that, but I don’t understand how driving around helps depression, unless it’s just distractions. Still, free museum admission is a win. Also the info says donations are tax-deductible which feels like they should mention that first because people will ignore everything else.
