Trump met with protests, cheers at his golf course in Ireland
Protesters in Ireland gathered in Doonbeg outside of the Trump International Golf Links course to protest President Donald Trump’s visit.
President Donald Trump’s childhood home in New York City sold on Sept. 11 for nearly $2 million, according to its Zillow listing.
The over 2,100 square foot, Tudor-style home in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, and was “fully gut-renovated with meticulous attention to detail,” according to the listing.
Trump lived at the home until he was 4 years old, according to the Associated Press. His father built the home in the 1940s, but the family has not owned it for years.
Zillow’s listing for the home shows it was sold to an undisclosed buyer for $1.93 million. It was listed in May for $2.2 million before its price dropped in June to $1.99 million. The sale went into contract in July for $1.99 million, according to the listing and the New York Post.
Developer Tommy Lin purchased the home in 2025, according to the Associated Press. The listing shows he paid $835,00. The New York Post reported that Lin spent more than $500,000 for an eight-month renovation.
It has changed hands throughout the years, the listing shows.
In 2017, it sold for $2.14 million, according to the listing. Trump Birth Home LLC purchased it and offered it for rent on Airbnb, according to the Associated Press. The rental included life-sized cardboard cutouts of Trump, copies of his book “The Art of the Deal” and a framed People magazine cover featuring Trump, according to the wire service.
It was listed in 2019 for $2.9 million but went unsold until Lin purchased it.
Prior to Lin’s purchase, the home had fallen into disrepair, according to the New York Post. “It had sat vacant for years, suffered damage from a burst pipe and mold – and had even become home to a colony of feral cats,” the Post reported.
