Donald Trump shared which three NFL teams he is looking forward to watching ahead of the 2026-2027 NFL season.

When asked by New York Post Sports which NFL team he is keeping his eyes on this year, he couldn’t name just one. “I think the New England Patriots looks good,” he began.
“I think the Giants — I like their quarterback a lot,” Trump shared, giving a shoutout to Jaxson Dart.
Lastly, he showed some love to the Los Angeles Rams. “I think they say the LA Rams are looking very strong.”
“We’ll see how it turns out, I’ll be watching.”

“But I better not get into this too much. I’m going to get myself in trouble if I do,” he continued.
While he shared the specific teams he’ll be keeping his eye on he concluded his statement by praising all of the NFL teams heading into the next season: “But I think you have a lot of good teams, a lot of great teams, and we’ll see how it turns out. I’ll be watching.”
Donald Trump at 2026 sporting events
It has been a year for Trump, who has attended several sporting events this year. In June, Trump went to Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden where the New York Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs. His attendance at the game had the watch party outside of the arena shut down by the NYPD and the Secret Service which enraged fans. Madison Square Garden also had a no-bag policy for the game for security.
Before tip-off Trump was also met with boos by the crowd. Knicks fans also blamed Trump for “cursing” the team after they ended their 13-game winning streak which was the only lost from the team during the NBA Finals.
After the NBA Finals, Trump hosted the UFC Freedom 250 event on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14. The event also coincided with his 80th birthday.
Trump also attended the FIFA World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. He had a viral moment during the medal ceremony when Spain posed for their photo after beating Argentina.
