Dolphins sign Jalen Reagor, waive Jordan Colbert
Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Jalen Reagor and waived S/ILB Jordan Colbert after a failed physical, making two roster moves that reshape their depth on offense and special teams.
For the Miami Dolphins, roster decisions came fast—wide receiver help on one end, a special-teams piece cleared out on the other.
The team announced it has signed wide receiver Jalen Reagor and waived S/ILB Jordan Colbert, who failed a physical.
Colbert has appeared in five career games in one season with Miami (2025), recording five special teams tackles. He entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2024 and spent time on the practice squad. His path to the pro level began at Columbia (2018-21), where he earned third-team All-Ivy League honors in 2021. He then spent his final two collegiate seasons at Rhode Island (2022-23). appearing in 21 games with 11 starts and recording 96 tackles (66 solo). 0.5 sack. two interceptions. six passes defensed. two forced fumbles. and one fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Reagor’s move to Miami adds experience across multiple NFL stops. He has appeared in 64 career games with 27 starts across five seasons with Philadelphia (2020-21). Minnesota (2022). New England (2023). and the Los Angeles Chargers (2024). His production includes 86 receptions for 1,037 yards (12.1 avg.) and four touchdowns. He’s also contributed as a return man. with 61 punt returns for 488 yards (8.0 avg.) and a touchdown. along with 20 kickoff returns for 498 yards (24.9 avg.) and one score.
The signing carries extra weight because Reagor entered the NFL as the 21st overall pick by Philadelphia in the 2020 NFL Draft. Before that. he played collegiately at TCU (2017-19). where he appeared in 38 games with 24 starts and recorded 143 receptions for 2. 079 yards (14.5 avg.) and 21 touchdowns.
The Dolphins now turn the page from Colbert’s brief 2025 stint and physical setback to a new opportunity for Reagor to fit into their receiving and return plans.

So they just grabbed Reagor after a physical thing? Dolphins doing stuff again lol.
I don’t get it, if Colbert already played for them why waive him over a failed physical? Like injuries are part of it right. Also Reagor… he’s been around forever, not sure that helps.
Jordan Colbert “failed a physical” so they cut him, but Reagor they just sign right away? That seems backwards to me. And wasn’t Reagor like a bust? I remember the Philly hype then he vanished.
Reagor as a return guy makes sense I guess, but I feel like Dolphins always chase the same type of receiver. Also the article says he was the 21st overall pick in 2020 which is crazy… you’d think a pick that high would be more consistent. Not hating though, maybe Miami fixes it. Colbert getting waived for special teams tackles is wild, like that’s his whole thing.
