The last moment of episode 3 doesn’t spell out the answer. The camera lingers instead, keeping his fate suspended as Naz (Jack Topalian) and his henchman drag Nate into the kind of brutality this show specializes in.
Episode 3 builds its chaos around Nate and Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney). Their wedding is meant to offer rare stability, but tensions simmer through the ceremony and explode at the reception. Cassie hopes for the lavish wedding of her life, but she finds out the truth: Nate is a fraud. Naz exposes Nate as a liar because Nate owes him a hefty amount of cash. and Cassie confronts him—screaming as the night collapses.
After the newlyweds head home, Nate apologizes and vows to give Cassie the greatest post-nuptial night ever. That promise is cut short when Naz and his henchman are waiting by the threshold to pummel Nate. Naz clocks Cassie right in the nose, and she sobs and bleeds uncontrollably about her wedding night being ruined. Yet she’s focused on the horror of what happened to her. not the fact that Nate is getting beaten to the ground.
Then the episode turns even darker. After Naz and his assistant brutalize Nate, they cut off Nate’s pinky toe.
So, does Nate die in Euphoria season 3?
Episode 3 ends with a scene that strongly suggests Nate’s life would end. but Euphoria stops short of explicitly showing his death. His presence has shaped the journeys of multiple characters. including Rue Bennett (Zendaya) and Cassie (Sweeney). and the show doesn’t shy away from major changes. But the answer isn’t in episode 3—it’s in episode 7.

In “Rain or Shine,” Naz buries Nate alive in a coffin. The plan was to leave him down there for 72 hours so Cassie could collect the million dollars he owes. But the plan unravels when a rattlesnake slithers down Nate’s breathing pipe from the surface and bites him. killing the controversial character.
Naz doesn’t get away either. In episode 7, Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) manages to fatally shoot Naz.
