Disney Channel is airing a new ‘Camp Rock’ movie. Here’s everything you need to know to watch

Connect 3 is back and they are looking for a new opening act.

“Camp Rock 3” is the latest installment of Disney Channel’s ultra-popular “Camp Rock” series, and it arrives only 16 short years after the second installment, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.”

“Camp Rock 3″ releases on Aug. 13 at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel, and then it will be streaming on Disney Plus the following day.

The film takes place long after the previous movies, with Connect 3 searching for a new opening act after a last-minute cancellation imperils their national tour. Where else to turn but the students at Camp Rock?

These days, Mitchie’s mother, Connie, is the director, and there is a whole host of new talent for the band to draw from.

The film stars the Jonas Brothers (who are playing at Madison Square Garden next week) as Connect 3, with Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate, and Kevin Jonas as Jason. Maria Canals-Barrera also returns as Connie Torres.

But there are a host of new characters, as well, including Sherry Cola as Lark, Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, and Lumi Pollack as Rosie.
