The forward would almost certainly have featured in this summer’s World Cup squad as his country compete across North America. memory. Shortly after Portugal’s Nations League success, Jota jetted off on holiday with his family, where he also wed his childhood sweetheart, Rute. He marked the occasion in early July with a post commemorating the date alongside a caption that read: “June 22, 2025. Yes to forever [Infinity emoji].” The upload offered an intimate behind-the-scenes glimpse of their special day. Accompanied by footage from their wedding, a voiceover played throughout the video, saying: “Dear Rute, dear Diogo. This is a day that will mark your
