While New England Patriots quarterback Tommy DeVito waits for training camp, his agent, Sean Stellato, is in Copenhagen trying to earn a spot on Italy’s men’s national flag football team for the 2026 World Games. Stellato will be assessed during this weekend’s

Training camp is still months away for New England Patriots quarterback Tommy DeVito. But for one person around him, the clock is already running.

His agent, Sean Stellato, is in Denmark right now for a football camp and a tryout that has nothing to do with NFL sidelines. Stellato is attempting to make Italy’s national flag football team ahead of the 2026 World Games, with the push aimed at getting Italy’s men’s roster set for August.

Stellato is trying out this weekend in Copenhagen for the Italian Men’s National Flag Football Team. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Stellato is aiming to earn a place on Italy’s roster for the 2026 World Games in August.

Stellato’s attempt comes from a deep football background. He played Division I football and basketball at Marist College, then later played professional arena football. That mix of sports experience is part of what has put him in the spotlight—not only as a handler in the NFL. but also as someone still willing to test himself on the field.

DeVito’s own NFL timeline is also being reshaped by this offseason moment. Stellato became an NFL figure in 2023 when his client. DeVito. appeared in nine games for the New York Giants and started six of them. posting a 3-3 record. That 3-3 mark was better than the win-loss records Daniel Jones (1-5) or Tyrod Taylor (2-3) were able to deliver that season.

DeVito, an Italian-American and New Jersey native, made a fast impression beyond the stat sheet. Giants fans embraced him, and even as DeVito moved on from New York, the connection followed. The QB called his agent the “Italian Stallion” of sports agents.

Since 2023. Tommy DeVito has been unable to secure the Giants’ starting QB job. and he has since moved on to the Patriots. In New England, he will back up Drake Maye, who is listed as the 2026 NFL MVP runner-up. Stellato still represents DeVito, and he also represents other pro athletes through his agency, SES Sports.

Flag football’s rise on the international stage is creating openings for players and football figures to chase opportunities outside the traditional U.S.-centric pipeline. Stellato’s tryout in Copenhagen underlines that trend. even as questions hang over how plausible a high-level roster spot is on the flag football level—especially at 48. an age Stellato’s camp could find difficult depending on the pace of the competition.

For now, the focus is clear: a weekend tryout in Copenhagen, a roster chase for Italy, and an August target tied to the 2026 World Games. Back in the NFL, DeVito waits for training camp—while the agent who shaped his rise is out pursuing a completely different kind of roster spot.
