Maya Jama returned as host of Love Island UK Season 13. walking into the Mallorca villa with a whole new group of single Islanders. The ITV2 dating series has changed things up this year: the Islanders arrived at night. then had to couple up. dump. and recouple — with love still the goal. even as the ground rules shifted from the start.
After meeting the new Islanders and quizzing them, Maya made it time to couple up. For this series, the first pairing wouldn’t be decided by a quick choice or a forced match. The coupling would be decided by deliberation among the Islanders themselves.
The first couple formed was Mica and Samraj. After further deliberation, the remaining couples were confirmed: Jasmine and Lorenzo; Ellie and Aidan; Angelista and Ope; Lola and Sean; and Robyn and Sam.

But as the Islanders started to get to know their couples, the villa was jolted again.
Two new bombshells entered, sending shockwaves. Maya met the two new Islanders outside of the villa and told them that in 24 hours, they would make a decision that would rock the villa. The rule was blunt: the two new bombshells would dump one guy and one girl for any reason whatsoever.
Those two bombshells were George, a 28-year-old professional footballer from Winchester, and Yasmin, a 23-year-old recruitment consultant from Broadstairs, Kent.
Once those names were introduced, the early calm turned into something more fragile. A couple formed on Day 1 by Islanders’ deliberation — and now, in just a day, everything could be rewritten by two newcomers holding the power to choose.

So they “deliberate” and then in 24 hours two bombshells just start dumping people for any reason?? sounds fake like producers writing it. Also Maya’s back so of course they’re gonna stir the pot.
Wait George and Yasmin are the bombshells but they dump one guy and one girl… like does that mean they pick from everybody or just the couples from day 1? Bc I saw something online that said they dump for “any reason whatsoever” but that feels like they’ll target specific people anyway
I don’t get why they even recouple if they’re gonna “rock the villa” immediately. Also the cast list is confusing, like Yasmin is 23 and George is 28 right? Might as well just skip to the dumping part. Love Island used to be more chill…
