Daphne Joy, 39, spoke out after online reports circulated about an alleged leaked sexually explicit video said to feature her and Sean “Diddy” Combs, later deleting a long Instagram statement. In it, she said she never consented to being filmed, described bein

Daphne Joy didn’t just address the rumors—she walked readers through the emotional weight of them.

The 39-year-old model posted a lengthy statement on social media Monday about an alleged sexually explicit video that leaked online and is said to feature her. Sean “Diddy” Combs. and another man. Hours later. she deleted the post. but the message—shared and reiterated by multiple outlets—left no doubt about how painful she says the experience has been. and how much the situation has stayed with her.

Joy described the “harsh reality and truth” of what she says was a relationship that. in her words. was “far from love.” She wrote. “It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship. but as time passes and in my quiet moments. I realize that it was far from love.” She also said she had wanted her partner “at the time” to be “happy and satisfied. ” adding that she pursued his desires “even if that meant breaking my own boundaries.”.

The most serious claims in Joy’s statement centered on the alleged recording itself. She said she never consented to being filmed and claimed she was later threatened and coerced. “I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web. ” Joy wrote. She said she “almost gave in” before refusing. and claimed that after she didn’t pay. “this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet.”.

Joy said the moment she learned a media company had allegedly obtained the recording was so shocking she fainted. She then thanked the outlet for declining to release it. writing that once the company understood the tape was “revenge porn and an extortion scheme. they backed off from broadcasting it.” She added. “I know they are probably reading this. and I want to say thank you for doing the right thing … even though years later … it’s come back to haunt me again.”.

She returned repeatedly to the psychological toll, describing revisiting the situation as emotionally devastating. Joy wrote that she experienced “inner turmoil and pressures” and said she was “not and was never in my right mind throughout the entirety of that relationship.” She said. “Seeing myself so lost is excruciating. ” and described an urge to “hold that girl in that room and get her out of there … and tell her that wasn’t love and she didn’t need to do this for love.” Her message continued: “My heart is breaking as I type this.”.

In her closing paragraphs. Joy framed her post as part of healing—writing about rebuilding confidence and learning to trust herself again. She said. “I can only continue to move forward and slowly learn to love and trust myself again. ” and added that she wants “to love and protect myself so much that I’ll never come across such a harmful environment again.” She wrote that. for the first time. she felt her body belonged to her: “This is the first time that I have ever felt a part of my own body and that my body belongs to me.”.

She concluded with affirmations of self-worth: “I am precious, I am special, I am worthy …. this I promise to hold true in my heart for the woman I am becoming and for the woman I once lost.”

Joy’s statement also lands within a larger background of public scrutiny around Combs. The model has been linked to earlier headlines involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. In 2024, she was identified in a lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones that included allegations regarding payments from Combs. Joy denied the claims at the time and accused critics of attempting to damage her reputation.

As for Combs, he is serving a federal prison sentence connected to a separate criminal case relating to sex trafficking and other serious acts, and his case has remained a subject of intense public attention.

Joy’s post—deleted but widely circulated—reads less like a response to rumor than a testimony about consent, coercion, and the lasting impact of an experience she says she is still trying to process.
