Daniel Jones didn’t just give fans a birthday surprise this week—he gave them a glimpse of his private life, too.
On Wednesday evening. the Indianapolis Colts quarterback. 29. went public with his relationship when the couple confirmed they’re dating in an Instagram story. Nicole ElAttrache shared two photos to mark Jones’ birthday, believed to be the first public post together between them. In the first image. the pair looked cozy at what appeared to be a horse racing track. with Nicole writing: “Happy birthday Daniel.” In the next post. Jones and Nicole were seen laughing together as Jones clasped her hand. and Nicole added: “I love you.”.
Nicole, 30, comes with a sports-connected pedigree. She is the daughter of renowned surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache, the team physician for the Los Angeles Rams and the Dodgers. Dr. ElAttrache is widely known for his work on quarterback Aaron Rodgers. including the Achilles surgery performed after Rodgers tore it just four snaps into his New York Jets debut in 2023. The procedure used an innovative “SpeedBridge” internal brace technique intended to speed up recovery. and Rodgers returned to the field the following season.
That background sits oddly close to Jones’ own rehabilitation timeline. Jones tore his Achilles in December during the first quarter of the Colts’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It is believed he ended up on Dr. Martin J. O’Malley’s operating table instead of seeing his girlfriend’s dad.
Nicole is also no stranger to competition herself. She is a former collegiate volleyball player for Duke University. The story of their relationship in public is already tied to major names in sports medicine: Nicole has been pictured with her mom Tricia, dad Neal, and sisters Natalie and Eva.
While the romance made headlines, Jones’ football status has been pushing forward through the calendar. He has taken part in all individual drills across the Colts’ first two OTA sessions. On Wednesday, he was seen throwing routes in the air, conducting handoffs, and running play-action passes with the running backs.
After practice, Jones offered an update that sounded measured and determined. “Feeling good. It’s been a good process so far,” he said. “Like six months into it, so feeling good. Been here working hard with our trainers and strength staff here and going well.”
He added: “There’s definitely still work to be done and progress to be made. So. I think it’s just continuing to get stronger. continuing to run faster. cut harder and progress kind of according to the program. but it’s been good. I think we’ve hit all of our marks so far and we’ll continue to do that.”.
