Creepshow point-and-click arrives in August 2026

Creepshow point-and-click – The Creepshow video game spin-off of Shudder’s horror anthology is finally getting a clear launch window: August 2026 on Steam. Set as a point-and-click adventure, it follows Danny and friends as a day at the mall turns into something darker—complete with pulp

For a game that had gone quiet for years, the Creepshow video game is suddenly back in motion—Steam’s page has gone live with a release window that doesn’t leave much room to wonder.

The point-and-click adventure is scheduled to arrive in August 2026.

The project is based on Shudder’s horror anthology series. and the developer. PHL Collective. is leaning into the same messy. macabre humor that made Creepshow memorable in the first place. Their description says the game is “gone all kinds of wrong. ” and the story starts with Danny and his friends after “a bad day at the mall spirals into something much darker.”.

From there, their search for answers pulls them into a world that grows more dangerous with each step—especially as it leads them to The Reader, “a mysterious fortune-teller with a taste for treacherous tales.”

The creator promise here isn’t just atmosphere. The game is set up to match Creepshow’s signature tone with “pulp-inspired visuals. dark humor. comic-book environments. horror mini-games. and endings you won’t see coming.” It’s a lineup that sounds built for fans who want their scares laced with mischief. not delivered with a straight face.

Publishing duties are handled by DreadXP, the company behind The Mortuary Assistant.

Right now, the only confirmed platform is PC, with no information provided on console releases—so for the moment, this looks like a Steam-first arrival.

The timeline may have taken its time. but the promise is immediate: August 2026 is close enough that Creepshow fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what “gone all kinds of wrong” actually means in gameplay—where dark humor. comic-book settings. and horror mini-games are all part of the ride.

  1. I saw “bad day at the mall” and thought it was like those mall horror movies. Hopefully it’s not all just clicking around forever. Also August 2026 is so far away.

  2. So it’s on Steam only, right? But didn’t they say Shudder was the whole point, like streaming. I’m confused if this is actually connected to the TV show or if it’s just the name Creepshow. Still kinda want it, The Reader fortune teller sounds like DLC bait.

  3. August 2026 is gonna come and go and then they’ll delay it again, mark my words. PHL Collective and DreadXP… aren’t those the guys who made that scary game where you get stuck in a building? I guess this is that vibe but with a mall?? Dark humor and comic-book environments, sure, but I just want it to be actually scary and not cheesy.
