CPKC Women’s Open returns to Royal Ottawa 2027

The CPKC Women’s Open, Canada’s lone LPGA Tour stop, will be played at Royal Ottawa Golf Club from Aug. 18-22, 2027—its first visit to the club since it last hosted the event in 2000.
The wait is long, but the excitement in the national capital region is already building. The CPKC Women’s Open is set to return next summer to Royal Ottawa Golf Club, with the tournament scheduled for Aug. 18-22, 2027.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for the broader Ottawa-area golfing scene. Royal Ottawa last played host to the event in 2000, and the news lands with the kind of timing sports communities rarely get twice in a lifetime.
Golf Canada COO Garrett Ball said in a press release that Gatineau is “a passionate golf community. ” adding that the organization is “excited to return to the province of Quebec and the national capital region” for the CPKC Women’s Open. Ball also credited the Royal Ottawa Golf Club as “incredible partners,” extending thanks to “the membership and staff.”.
The tournament’s return is being framed as a partnership effort beyond the course as well. Golf Canada said it is working collectively to deliver “a memorable experience in 2027” alongside Ville de Gatineau, Tourism Outaouais, the City of Ottawa and Ottawa Tourism.
For Quebec, the 2027 edition is also a moment with extra weight. It will mark the 14th time the CPKC Women’s Open has been contested in the province, and the first since 2011.
Royal Ottawa Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in North America, founded in 1891. The club also holds the record for hosting the most Canadian amateur championships. including the most recent Canadian men’s amateur this past July. It is also among only eight clubs to host Golf Canada’s four premier events: the RBC Canadian Open. CPKC Women’s Open. and the Canadian men’s and women’s amateurs.
Brooke Henderson’s presence adds another layer. Henderson won her second CPKC Women’s Open title last year in Mississauga, Ont., beating Minjee Lee by one stroke for her 14th LPGA Tour victory.
“I am really looking forward to seeing the fans at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club,” Henderson told Sportsnet.ca, speaking to the pull of playing near home. “There is something special about coming home and playing in front of your friends and family.”
That “home” connection is close in more ways than one. Henderson’s hometown of Smiths Falls, Ont., is about an hour from Royal Ottawa. The CPKC Women’s Open was last hosted in the area in 2022 at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, won by Paula Reto.
The tournament is also known for an east-west rotation each year. With Henderson’s stardom continuing to shine, the choice to keep bringing the event back toward the Ottawa corridor feels less random—and more earned—given how powerfully the local fan base has followed the Canadian stars.
For players, the schedule is already moving forward. The 2026 edition of the CPKC Women’s Open will take place Aug. 19-23 at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton.
