Corey Heim captured the NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, leading 75 laps and finishing first ahead of Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson and Zane Smith as multiple drivers exited early in accidents.

Sunday at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego looked different by the time the checkered flag came out. The race ran on a 2.20-mile lap, and Corey Heim had done enough—fast, steady, and clean—to finish in front after 75 laps.

Heim, starting from position 13, drove a Toyota to the win with a score of 0 points, topping the final running order:

Bubba Wallace, starting 12th, finished second in a Toyota, also completing 75 laps and earning 35 points.
Kyle Larson, starting 14th, took third in a Chevrolet, completing 75 laps and earning 42 points.
Zane Smith, starting 4th, was fourth in a Ford after 75 laps with 33 points.

The rest of the top 10 showed how tightly the field ran. AJ Allmendinger finished fifth in a Chevrolet, starting 15th and recording 75 laps and 45 points. Chris Buescher was sixth in a Ford, starting 16th, with 75 laps and 39 points. Ross Chastain came home seventh in a Chevrolet from 23rd, with 75 laps and 33 points. Riley Herbst finished eighth in a Toyota from 24th with 75 laps and 38 points. Ryan Blaney rounded out the top 10, driving a Ford from 3rd to a ninth-place finish with 75 laps and 44 points.

Kyle Larson’s fellow Chevrolet qualifier—Jimmie Johnson—came home 28th with 75 laps and 9 points. Some of the back-of-the-pack results stood out sharply. including Kevin Magnussen. who completed 75 laps in a Chevrolet and finished 27th with 0 points.

  1. I didn’t realize this was NASCAR at Coronado, thought it was some kind of military event lol. Also 0 points for winning?? That sounds wrong, like the scoring glitched.

  2. Noah Gragson had an accident after 37 laps and Austin Hill at 31… sounds like the track was basically cursed. Then somehow Heim comes from 13th and leads 75 laps, good for him but I bet cautions did the heavy lifting or something.

  3. Larson got 3rd and still “42 points” but I’m confused because it says driver rating max is 150 and they’re talking about points like it’s normal fantasy. If Kevin Magnussen got 0 points while finishing 27th then what, the cars just stopped counting after a certain time? NASCAR math is always weird to me.
