Compton police seek missing 6-year-old last seen Monday

Missing 6-year-old – A 6-year-old boy from Compton identified as Saint Young was last seen Monday around 1 p.m. with his caregiver, and authorities are asking the public for help. Officials say there is concern for both of their well-being.

A child was last seen in Compton just after 1 p.m. on Monday, and now deputies are urging the public to help locate a 6-year-old boy and his caregiver.

Saint Young was last seen around 1 p.m. in the 2300 block of W. Corydon Street in Compton, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release. The release says he was last seen with his caregiver, Franita Sexton.

Officials say there is concern for their well-being.

Saint is described as Black, with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs 60 pounds and is 4 feet tall. The release states he was last seen wearing his school uniform: a white shirt with blue shorts.

Sexton is described as a 63-year-old Black woman who is 5 feet 1, 114 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white jacket and blue jeans. Authorities say she may be traveling in a black 2024 Kia 4-door sedan with California license plate #9LBV962.

Deputies are asking anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Compton Station On-Duty Watch Commander at (310) 605-6500.
