John Davis was just doing what he always did—cooking and chatting with his co-host Momma in their kitchen—when his livestream abruptly turned into a fight for breath.
During the live stream on Wednesday, the host of the Facebook page Coffee Time with John and Momma, based in Jellico, Tennessee, told viewers he didn’t feel good. Soon after, he began having trouble breathing, fell off his stool on camera, and his mom screamed for help.
A neighbor arrived and began chest compressions before emergency medical teams and police came to the scene. But despite the response, there was nothing anyone could do. John Davis died at 55.
For now, there’s no official word on what caused John’s medical emergency. Harp Funeral Home shared on its socials that it is making funeral arrangements. As of now, no statement has been issued by John’s family.
John’s passing has sent shockwaves through the community that grew around the show’s familiar warmth—and especially through Momma and the rest of the family left to navigate what happened in front of the people who loved them.

I saw the clip going around, he literally looked fine like 5 minutes before. Livestreams are cursed or something, I swear. Also why was the neighbor doing compressions like immediately??
So nobody knows what happened yet but I’m betting it was COVID or something with his heart?? People always get sick right on camera now it’s scary. And the mom screaming… that would mess me up for life. I just hope they don’t blame it on him for “not taking it seriously.”
Man that’s sad. Livestream in Jellico and he fell off a stool, that sounds like either a heart attack or like he fainted from cooking fumes or whatever. It’s crazy how the page got like thousands of people watching and then boom, emergency. EMTs and police came and still couldn’t save him… idk what else could even be done. Praying for Momma, but I also wish they’d say the cause already.
