The timeline seems to match that expectation. After spending the past week hospitalized, Davis is now resting comfortably as he continues recovering at home.

It isn’t the first health challenge he’s faced. In February 2021, Davis was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Even through setbacks. he has continued to stay active well into his 90s—attending industry events and championing new artists decades after helping launch the careers of some of music’s biggest stars. For many in the industry, Davis’s influence has always run like a steady beat. Now, it’s clear the rhythm for the moment is simpler: recovery, at home.

  1. Upper respiratory infection… so was it COVID or not? They always say “caution” but never the real reason. Hopefully he’s not overdoing it at 94.

  2. Didn’t he have Bell’s Palsy like forever ago? I feel like this stuff is related somehow, like the hospital messed with his nerves or something. Also 94 and still chasing artists… man, that’s either impressive or he just refuses to slow down.

  3. Wait, he’s home already? That was fast, I swear last week he was all over the news. Upper respiratory infection is so vague though. Like was it pneumonia? And if he’s in good spirits, great, but I don’t buy it 100% till I see a follow-up.
