Chisholm said his trot was “really for the fans” at Progressive Field after some directed “overrated” chants at him during the game, according to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. “I love it, kind of,” Chisholm said postgame. “I feel like that was the loudest chants all day we heard,
so I think it was great.” Rookie outfielder Spencer Jones also hit his first career homer, a 443-foot blast, in the victory. “That was sick,” Chisholm added. “Being on base, I thought it was Aaron Judge hitting when he hit that ball. It blasted off the bat, I’m not gonna lie.” New York will look to complete the three-game sweep Wednesday.
