Chelsea and Newcastle BOTH accept £21m bids for Yohanna

Chelsea and Newcastle have both had bids accepted for 18-year-old AIK winger Zadok Yohanna, with the Swedes agreeing terms around a reported €25m (£21.6m) offer. The decision now shifts to Yohanna, who has also attracted interest from Real Madrid, Rennes, RB L
Zadok Yohanna doesn’t have to travel far for the biggest decision of his young career—two Premier League clubs are already sitting on the doorsteps, and AIK has now made it clear the talks have reached the point where Yohanna must choose.
Chelsea and Newcastle both have had offers accepted for the 18-year-old AIK winger. with the understanding that each club put €25 million (£21.6 million) on the table. AIK have moved the situation forward publicly in line with their obligations as a stock-market listed club. confirming that negotiations have been initiated and that the current bid points to a net profit effect higher than £20m.
The timing is as telling as the numbers. Brighton opened talks with Yohanna’s club at the weekend before Newcastle made a rival offer. After that, the focus narrowed fast—Chelsea then discussed an offer worth £21.6m including bonuses, while the wider list of clubs tracking Yohanna kept growing.
Yohanna joined AIK from the Ikon Allah academy in Nigeria last summer. and he has still only played seven league games so far. scoring twice and adding two assists. Even so, the Swedish club’s matches have shown why his name is already being treated like a hot commodity. During April’s clash with Kalmar FF, 32 scouts were credited with interest in the teenager.
The Swedish winger’s profile is drawing that attention for concrete reasons: he is left-footed, plays on the right, and has shown speed, technical ability, and the kind of one-on-one threat clubs covet.
His next step has added pressure. Yohanna was called up to represent Nigeria last month. but AIK blocked him from joining the national camp for the Unity Cup. saying he needed to fully recover from an injury. That detail matters now because the clubs competing for him are effectively competing over his immediate future—especially his pathway into the first team.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are understood to be selling the idea of a stepping stone. They are pointing to Anthony Gordon’s £70m move to Barcelona as a real-life example of what success can look like after a Premier League breakthrough.
Chelsea and Newcastle aren’t the only serious players in the market. Real Madrid, Rennes, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have also sent staff to watch Yohanna.
With both Premier League offers accepted and AIK confirming negotiations are underway, the ball is now in Yohanna’s court. The choice won’t just decide where he plays next—it will shape how quickly he turns that early promise into a settled place at the top level.
Newcastle are also assessing Osasuna winger Victor Munoz as part of their wider planning.

£21m for an 18-year-old? Wild.
So they accepted bids but he still has to choose?? Sounds like the clubs are just arguing over who pays more. Also I keep reading “AIK” and thinking of some AI tech lol. Is he actually even that good yet with like 7 games played?
Real Madrid is interested too but he’ll probably pick the one with the best Instagram marketing. Chelsea always buys projects and then loans them out, right? Newcastle been doing the opposite with more “ready now” guys. If he’s only played 7 league games then why are there 32 scouts like it’s already the next Mbappe or something.
I don’t get how both Chelsea and Newcastle “accept bids” like it’s final. If AIK agreed terms with like €25m then how can two clubs be in the mix unless it’s some like bidding war? Also he’s from Nigeria but playing in Sweden, and they’re calling it a stock-market obligation?? Kinda feels like money laundering but idk maybe that’s just me. Either way £21m seems insane for someone who hasn’t even played that much.
